LIUNA Members Ready to Fix Minnesota’s Infrastructure
Saint Paul - Joel Smith, President and Business Manager of LIUNA Minnesota and North Dakota released the following statement after the Minnesota House of Representatives passed a $1.9 billion local jobs and projects bills:
“LIUNA members have been urging our state leaders to put them to work fixing our water and transportation infrastructure. Today, a large, bipartisan group of state representatives delivered for Laborers and the people of Minnesota. Thank you to House Capital Investment Chair Fue Lee, Republican Lead Dean Urdahl and all state representatives who voted “Yes” on the local jobs and projects bills. We are counting on the Senate to take swift action to get the job done. LIUNA members are ready to help every community across the state remove lead water lines and fix our roads, bridges, and transit.”
