Saint Paul Tri-Council Members to Vote Thursday, March 23 on Proposed Contract

Saint Paul, MN —  Yesterday, the Saint Paul Tri-Council reached a tentative agreement with the City of Saint Paul. The bargaining unit consists of parks, water and public works employees represented by LIUNA Local 363, Operating Engineers Local 49 and Teamsters 120. The new deal will now go to union membership for a vote this Thursday, March 23. The bargaining committee fully recommends the tentative agreement.

AJ Lange, Business Manager of LIUNA Local 363 said, “Our members’ Tri-Council workers deserve a fair contract acknowledging Saint Paul works because they work. This new proposal is a good economic contract for our members and puts us on the right track. We are committed to building from here. We look forward to working with the City to develop policies and procedures to keep our members safe.”

All members in the unit are eligible for 18% raises up to nearly 26% over the course of three years. The tentative agreement also includes increased vacation benefits and paid parental leave. If approved, the proposed contract would represent historic and long-overdue wage increases for workers in the unit.
