Minneapolis, MN —  Today, Minneapolis city employees represented by LIUNA Local 363 delivered a strong vote to accept a fair labor contract with the City of Minneapolis.

Tony Kelly, Business Manager of LIUNA Local 363 said, “Our frontline workers have kept Minneapolis functioning throughout the most challenging circumstances we have seen in generations because they are passionate about serving the people of this city. The City has started to recognize these sacrifices in this agreement, but there is more work yet to do. We’re proud to support a mutual agreement that affirms and invests in workers who deliver critical services to keep Minneapolis moving forward.”

The negotiating team has been bargaining for more than a year to reach a Tentative Agreement with the City. The most recent offer includes a 7% compounded pay increase over the life of the three-year contract, 4% of which will be effective January 1, 2022, an additional $2.61 per hour of overtime, increasing workers’ compensatory time maximum from 64 to 80 hours, and no reductions to healthcare and retirement benefits. The latest offer is an improvement to previous proposals and includes better conditions than contracts other unions have negotiated with the employer.
