Training, Events, Local Hours & Operations

Caring for the safety and well-being of our staff, members and their families is our top priority, especially during this challenging time. Following guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, LIUNA Minnesota and North Dakota has made the following changes related to training courses, events, local meetings, business hours and operations.

Training Courses:

Limited contact training has resumed. You must be registered. Proper work attire
including masks required. Online Training is available.

**NEW** Members are encouraged to take advantage LIUNA Training's FREE and newly expanded Infectious Disease online course with more COVID-19 information. Apprentices, you can print and submit your certificate of completion for credit to the Minnesota Laborers' Training Center. Training is available in English and Spanish. Click here for more.

Local Union Meetings:

  • 363 membership meetings will take place via Zoom. Call 612-379-4740 for meeting access.

  • 405 membership meetings will take place via phone conference. Refer to postcard or call 507-282-2349 for meeting access.

  • 563 Bismack, 563 Mankato, 563 Minneapolis and 1091 Duluth member meetings are occurring as normally scheduled. Click here for updated meeting dates and locations.

  • 1097 membership meetings will take place via Zoom. Call 218-741-3638 for meeting access.

  • Local 363 office in Minneapolis will be open during normal business hours. Contact: 612-379-4740.

  • Local 405 office in Rochester will be open during normal business hours. Contact: 507-282-2349.

  • Local 563 office in Minneapolis is open with limited in-person contact due to COVID. Contact: 612-781-6933. Pay dues by phone or online at www.563members.org

  • Local 563 office in Mankato is closed, but over-the-phone business will continue to be handled. Contact: 651-248-4178. Pay dues by phone or online at www.563members.org
  • Local 563 office in Fargo is closed, but over-the-phone business will continue to be handled. Contact: 701-527-7132. Pay dues by phone or online at www.563members.org
  • Local 563 office in Saint Cloud is open with limited in-person contact due to COVID.  For any other questions you can contact, 320-252-4363. Pay dues by phone or online at www.563members.org
  • Local 563 office in Bismarck is open with limited in-person contact due to COVID.  For any other questions you can contact, 701-223-5991. Pay dues by phone or online at www.563members.org
  • Local 1091 office in Duluth will be open during normal business hours. Contact: 218-728-5151. 

  • Local 1097 office in Virginia will be open during normal business hours. Contact: 218-741-3638. 

Member Resources

  • UNEMPLOYMENT INSURANCE: Filing for unemployment insurance has been made easier in Minnesota and North Dakota. Governors Walz and Burgum signed Executive Orders, respectively, to give immediate access to workers who suffer lost jobs or hours due to COVID-19.
